Seeing
the Invisible.
“By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible.”

Spiritual sight
The Invisible can become
the most present reality.
Faith does not pretend that the visible world is unreal. It refuses to believe that what the eye can see is all there is. Moses moved through Egypt with an inward sight fixed upon God—unseen, yet more real to him than the palace, the king, or the danger before him.
How the passage moves
Three movements.
One enduring vision.
Hebrews 11:27 does not offer three unrelated lessons. It reveals a progression: faith changes what Moses sees; what he sees changes what he fears; and that reordered fear gives him strength to continue.
Spiritual Sight
Faith operates as an inner eye. It makes the unseen God real, vibrant, and actively present in every daily circumstance.
Overcoming Fear
Moses left Egypt without dreading the monarch’s anger, because his highest loyalty and reverence belonged to God.
Enduring Hardship
True spiritual perseverance is sustained by keeping attention fixed upon eternal realities rather than temporary threats.
A place for faith
Fix your gaze.
Let faith see.
Faith does not deny what stands before us; it sees everything in the presence of the God who has spoken. Close your eyes for a moment and see that no pressure is greater than the One who surrounds and preserves you. He “calleth those things which be not as though they were.” Faith rests in what He has said—and faith pleases Him.
